An Exercise in Flooring Luxury

At The Floor Shop we work with all manner of clients, from homeowners and landlords to property professionals – such as interior designers and architects – and the new home builders and tradespeople that build their properties and renovate them for us. From the bijou to the palatial we have seen them all and helped to add the flooring finishing touches that will make all the difference to the look and feel of a space.

Then once in a while we get an opportunity to work on something really really special.

Miram House is a development of six spectacularly lavish apartments, five luxury three bed properties – one of which has its own private garden – and one four bedroom penthouse. This is the epitome of contemporary living. As soon as you enter the sumptuous lobby, through its two storey columned entrance, shimmering in the light of thousands of Swarovski crystals from the chandelier above and are greeted by the uniformed concierge, you know that you have arrived somewhere truly special. This development is finished to the highest standards possible. The tennis court in the perfectly manicured landscaped communal gardens, the spacious terraces and floor to ceiling windows, the volcanic limestone baths and Italian porcelain in the bathrooms, gated secure underground car parking, bespoke furnishings and exquisite interior design within a fabulous property in one of the most sought after leafy suburban locations within 25 minutes of central London. Hadley Wood is no stranger to luxury, but Miram House is head and shoulders above the competition in this regard.

Don’t just take our word for it, the development won Best Residential Development Hertfordshire 2015-2016 at the United Kingdom Property Awards, and deservingly so.

The Floor Shop was incredibly proud to have been chosen by luxury homes developer Artemi Gibbs to consult on and install the gloss finished oak chevron patterned real wood parquet flooring in each of these six opulent new homes.

Because we have our own workshop where we finish off much of our real wood flooring for our customers the bespoke darkest brown stain requested by the interior designers on the project was a simple matter for us. And, within just ten days the entire project was completed – on time and on budget just like all projects carried out by The Floor Shop.

Attention to detail is one of the things we are best known for, but when you are installing flooring on a multi-million pound project such as this you have to expect that your client will double check your double checking to ensure precision alignment and unsurpassed quality standards have been achieved. Of course our workmanship passed close scrutiny inspection and the development went on the market with Statons Estate Agents in March 2016.
